It was an unseasonably warm day that began at a lakeside AirBNB. I arrived late in the morning crossing paths with the talented ladies from Under the Veil as the finished the bride’s hair, a loose braid adorned with dried floral bits.
The bridesmaids and family chatted taking in the beautiful scenes as True Beauty by Dana applied the final touches on Sammi. Her natural look with bold eyes was the perfect compliment to her bohemian vibes.
It wasn’t long before we packed up for the venue to get dressed. Epic limo delivered the robed ladies to the White Oak Farm Venue where they quickly went to the bridal suite to put on dresses and decompress. With her mom’s assistance, Sammi stepped into a fitted lace and gown with beaded detail. The back had buttons that traced her curves in all the right ways. Emotion filled the room as she tapped dad’s shoulder revealing his little girl all grown up, and her bridesmaids had the same reaction.
As the guys arrived, we snuck out back on the beautiful property at White Oak Farm Venue. The backlit venue offered a tree line that broke the light perfectly and beams of sunshine danced as the girls smiled. Schultz Floral put together an assortment of dried grasses, bleached Craspedia, and Panda Anemones that complemented the black bridal party attire.
Tommy calmly went through the process of pre ceremony pictures with family and groomsman awaiting the moment he was really waiting for. As Sammi prepared for her walk down the aisle she took a deep breath, her father there holding her arm offering comfort.
The groom smiled as he whipped away tears from his soon to be wife’s eyes. The held hand exchanged handwritten vows which included promises from Sammi to Tommy and his son.
The crowd celebrated as the couple made their way through tosses of dried rose and lilac bits. Drinks were served as tasty appetizers were indulged. These foodies thought out every detail and bite for their guests. The open barn was chic with a backdrop of windows and black pillar candles glowed as the sun escaped view. The open venue allowed for a breezeway of dancing and mingling while the woodfire pizza oven provided late night snacks. Stars shone brightly as the night continued and guests danced and took in the beauty of the evening.
